Frickley are one of the premier teams in the area, playing in the UniBond Northern Premier League, Premier Division. Had a spell in the Conference in what were halcyon days indeed, however they have long gone.

The ground is well over due some renovation, the terraces are starting to be overgrown and the toilets are... well, not nice. There has been a fair bit spoken and written about the possibility of some major developments at the ground, nothing as yet has come of this. The clubhouse is one of the top ones in the area, being very cosy in the cold winter days, and with very reasonably priced drinks. One last thing, my favourite the locals; a great bunch who you cannot fail to like. That is unless you are the butt of their jibes.
