Hallam play in the
Northern Counties East Premier Division, and founded in 1860 lay claim to being the World's SECOND Oldest Club. They have
played at the same ground at Sandygate since formation, thus making it the World's Oldest Football Ground (although they
have made some improvements over the last 143 years!).
Set on the outskirts
of Sheffield in the "posher" side of town, the Countrymen have a fierce (but friendly) rivalry with Sheffield Club in the historic World's Oldest Derby, a fixture everyone should visit at least once. The locals here are very nice, although
their crowds seldom hit three figures, and the facilities are top notch; a nice bar, plus a tea bar ouside, coupled with
a very comfortable stand.
As for souvenirs,
badges are available, ask for details at the gate.
